About Lena.
Besides being a wife and mother, Lena Marie Irish is a non-profit professional, child and special needs advocate, and community volunteer.
Lena grew up primarily with just one sibling, identical twin sister, Lisa. They grew up throughout Northern California: the San Francisco Bay Area (Milpitas, Oakland/Richmond) & the Sacramento area (specifically, Citrus Heights) splitting time into two separate homes due to divorce. After graduating from San Juan High School, she attended San Jose State University as a Business major and continued her studies at the University of Phoenix and Mercer University. She holds an MBA from The Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University.
She has worked or volunteered with organizations such as Atlanta CASA, Habitat for Humanity International, Girl Scouts of the San Francisco Bay Area, Kaiser Permanente/The Permanente Medical Group, the Collier Heights Community Association, and Parent to Parent of Georgia. Overall, she is extremely passionate about helping anyone who feels like they are not being heard, to be heard.
Lena has two children: Nia, a 2019 graduate of Spelman College, artist, and entrepreneur, and Todd, a 2016 graduate of Lithia Springs High School, a 2017 graduate of Roosevelt Warm Springs Academy, and a rising entrepreneur. She is married to Edgar Wesley Irish, Jr., and together they have a blended family of five kids along with Cocoa, their Chocolate Labrador.
She gets her inspiration from Christ and seeks to follow where He leads her in life. Her areas of passion and fulfillment include spiritual and personal growth, leadership development, social justice, and advocacy work for children and the special needs community.
